One of the computer labs here has a number of (currently) unused Prime Medusa solid modeling stations. These appear to be a combination of a Lexidata Frame buffer, Sumagraphics Digitizer (a big one), and a terminal. Each device appears to use a seperate serial interface. Does anyone out there happen to be familiar with the Prime Medusa or Lexidata frame buffers that could help me identify the devices so I can get them hooked up to Unix? I intend to eventually call Lexidata for manuals and information but I would like to try and find the model number, name and type of device first. At the moment the only thing I know is the display is 1024x1024 (approximately) with 8 bits of data per pixel. It has a serial interface and appears to have the option for some type of bus interface as there are several large connecters on the back. If you are familiar with Lexidata equipment please write me and we will see if we can identify the thing.
