Pirohi sound just like pilmanye (that's russian), (piroshki or pirog can be fried or baked). Pilmanye can also be made with meat. For a reasonable convience foo make up a large batche and freeze them , then if you need a quick soup, take some out of the freezer, plop them in some beef/chicken broth and presto, quick as a wink it's soup. -- Stephen C.
