We are trying to install GIMMS release 4.5 under CMS, and are having a really nasty time doing it. Has anyone out there ever used, installed GIMMS on a VM system? Particularly, I need help in how to link the system. The real trouble areas are the graphics interfaces. It seems that the graphics routines are identically duplicated in two different modules, but then, a set of routines with the same names but different functions are in the CHAROUT module as well. Do I have to use some sort of overlaying and use LKED instead of just LOAD and GENMOD? As far as setting up the graphics interface, GIMMS claims to use the most basic CALCOMP calls, but there seem to be a lot of unresolved references in the graphics section to calls that are definitely *not* CALCOMP routines. Does GIMMS call routines that are non-standard? What I would really like is some help putting GIMMS up using DI-3000 as the graphics base, since we try to base our graphics around it for device independence. Any help, hints, or info will be greatly appreciated! --SCott Dickson Research Programmer Penn State University Computation Center
