There has been a "crash" in Bay Area computer graphics! The yearly "Electronic Theater" did not recent adequate material in either quantity or quality to warrent a big production. Does this bode ill for the future of computer graphics? Have we crashed under the weight of flying logos? But, we will show some material and have speakers instead. There is no December for Christmas, but our program for next year includes a January meeting on the basics of computer cartography (map making, speakers from the US Geological Survey (Menlo Park)), legal issues of computer graphics, new workstations, and a slew of other topics.
