I'm looking for a 2-d digital filter for filtering a rectangular array of data... Basically, I have a bunch of x,y,z data points illustrating the contour of a surface, and I'd like to digitally filter them using a z-transform or perhaps a fast polynomial transform. Since my data is almost symetric I've been able to get some results by doing a 1-d z-transform in two directions, but this isn't really the proper way to do it, and the proper 2-d z-transform method is quite a bit more involved, so before invoking on re-inventing the wheel, I thought I'd ask the net if they had any such beast lying around... Thanks for your assistance, Greg --- Gregory R.
