Please excuse the tangent: A note on the early NEC Multisync monitors. They do not do 2:1 interlaced (like RS-170 or NTSC). Ever. We have many around here for EGA Applications. When we tried to drive RS-170 RGB analog from a frame buffer into it, it overlaid one field over the other giving an apparent 1/2 the number of lines. This surprised me because monitors usually just squirt the Vertical sync into a sweep circuit so it just naturally syncs to what you feed in. Apparently the Multisync re-synchronizes the VSYNC with HSYNC. Oh well. Silly me for expecting a monitor called 'Multisync' to be able to deal with RS-170, the most common of all signals. I don't know about the Multisync IIs though. Dave Erickson ---------------------------------------------- Datacube Inc. 4 Dearborn Rd.
