I would like some help in which VGA board and monitor to buy. I am especially interested in the Video7 VEGA VGA and the Paradise VGA and VGA professional. In monitors I am interested in the NEC Multisync Plus and the Princeton Ultrasync (they have 800x600 which I think will be important soon.) Please mail me if you have any experiece with the above or any recommendations for items about in the above price range. Thanks beforehand Ken Kindsfater

Alot depends on what you want to do with the board you pick. For instance, is VGA emulation the only thing you want? How about Hercules? Both of these boards will support Hercules emulation, but only on a regular Monochrome monitor. I looked at both of these boards and found that both of them somewhat misrepresented what they could do, at least on the outside of the package. When I got them home and installed them, they worked OK, but wouldn't run Herc mode on my MultiSync. That's when I started looking for (and eventually found) the small print. Of the two, the Paradise board had what looked like a better (at least better looking) documentation package.
