Hi, A few weeks ago I asked the readership about a mailing list for GKS. I heard from a few people, however, there doesn't seem to be any established GKS mailing list. I'm intersted in GKS primarily as a software engineer who is considering what role, if any, GKS should have in a new application our group is developing in collaboration with another research group. While I would be willing to help create a GKS mailing list, assuming there is sufficient interest, I will not be able to serve as the mailing list administrator. There are a number of reasons for this, however, the most important is that I can't say how long I will be involved with GKS. I think the mailing list administrator ought to be someone who is directly involved with GKS on a daily basis. So, if you have an interest in GKS and would like to help form a GKS mailing list please send me a note saying so. If you would be willing to run the mailing list (and have the time and resources to do a reasonable job of it) please say so in your note. Be sure to include enough information so that you can be contacted either by electronic mail or telephone. I'll collect names and addresses for the next month or so. After all the requests are in I'll post another message to this newsgroup listing the names and addresses of the people who have asked to be on the list.
