[comp.graphics] The Basic Law of Color Theory: Good primer on color

oj@apollo.uucp (Ellis Oliver Jones) (03/27/88)

Regarding the queries lately about color,
an excellent little book on color from the graphics arts tradition is:
Kueppers, Harald, The Basic Law of Color Theory, Barrons: 113 Crossways Park
Drive, Woodbury, New York 11797, 1982. Translated from the German by Roger Marcinik.

The German edition is:
Kueppers, Harald, Das Grundgesetz der Farbenlehre, DuMont Buchverlag GmbH & Co.,
Koln, Federal Republic of Germany, 1980.

The book has 66 competently printed color plates. It's worth reading, and
at under ten dollars, quite a bargain.
