Since 1982, this conference has been held in Tokyo. This year, it is taking place in Geneva, Switzerland. In 1989 it will be held in Leeds, U.K., in 1990 in Singapore, in 1991 in U.S.A. and in 1992 in Montreal, Canada. CGI'88 will present a spectacular week of events: - courses on Tuesday May 24 - professional paper presentations, panel sessions and workshops covering all areas of Computer Graphics and its applications on Wednesday 25, Thursday 26 and Friday 27 May. More than 100 experts selected with great care by the Program Committe will participate to the Conference. In addition, this year's special events will include: - The First Computer-generated Film Festival of Geneva, with a competition of the best films in the world - An exhibition on how Marilyn Monroe has been synthetized by computer - Demonstrations of the use of graphic systems for art, education, science and technology.
