[comp.graphics] AUTOCAD/HP Laserjet Question

OIC@PSUVM.BITNET (04/20/88)

Hi----

I have a question which someone in this newsgroup may be able to help
with:

When using AUTOCAD with an HP Laserjet (as Printer/Plotter) acting as
the plotting device, is there any way to simulate putting a wider pen
in an actual pen plotter? I know you can use polylines to get thicker
lines, arcs, etc.....but suppose you want everything to come out as drawn
with a wider "pen" (i.e., text, etc.)

Any answers/insights/etc. would be appreciated. I suspect that this would
require some native mode action on the part of the Laserjet, rather than
anything overt from within Autocad, but really am not sure. Autocad seems
to do everything else in the world, so it's hard to believe that there isn't
a way to do this!

Replies via BITNET (or other working gateways) to this posting (OIC at PSUVM)
or to MRB @ PSUECL, or to this newsgroup [will watch for response postings].

Thanks again very much!
