We live near several egg ranches in Vista, CA, and the owners of all assured me (at Easter egg coloring time) to do the following: Bring large pot of water (with vinegar & salt added) to a boil. Turn heat OFF completely. Add eggs (preferably at room temperature) Cover and let sit for 20-30 minutes. The result, indeed, was perfect eggs.
