[comp.graphics] Sun .vecs files

bcorrie@uvicctr.UUCP (bcorrie) (05/17/88)

I have seen some interesting file names with .vecs suffixes in the SUN
demo directories here ( such as vw.vecs, and shuttle.vecs ). The demos
that accompany these files require the use of the SUN graphics processor
which I beleive we do not have.

My question is, does anyone know the format and how to use the data files
that come with the demos. The file is read as one large block into
a structure that represents a list of 3D vectors in the standard 3D form

  X Y Z W

So what does one do with these vectors. Are they directional
( ie. Draw a line from the current location in the direction and magnitude
of the vector ) or of some other form. Am I missing something really
simple here 8-)

Thanks for any help in advance.....

Does anyone out there know what the format for the files
