Has anyone experienced the following problems with the SunCore graphics system? o When using the color-graphics view surface under Suntools, cgpixwindd, attempting to resize the window crashes the calling program. Is this a known bug? I tested it with both a FORTRAN and C program and they both crashed, although only the C program gave a segmentation violation. o A mouse pick operation, using the awaitpick function, requires the pick aperture to be on the first point that was drawn for the primitive being picked (the corner of the first character in a string, or the starting point of a polygon or polyline). o Sometimes a pick will return a segment name and pick-id of a primitive that isn't even close to the object being chosen! Help me!!! Does anybody out there use SunCore for any serious applications? Is PHIGS the way to go? How does PHIGS (Figaro?) compare to SunCore? Does it have a Suntools or SunWindows interface? Is there any hardware for the Sun that will support zooming and panning? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. -- Todd Pfaff, PFAFF@MCMASTER.BITNET, peter@maccs.UUCP
