[comp.graphics] Symbolic or rasterized geographical data base

I'm looking for almost any kind of machine-readable map data base.  Most
interesting would be a symbolic representation with features like buildings,
roads, rivers, etc., especially of a city.  CIF or GDSII representation
would be ideal, but really, anything would be appreciated.
