[comp.graphics] Graphics compatibility between Amiga and IBM.

pfarrell@anselm.UUCP (Gladiator Supreme) (08/05/88)

All this talk about the amiga and IBM brought an old question of
mine up. I am not an Amiga owner (*yet*), but I plan to get one.
Probably, (no, definately) an Amiga 2000, and with it, hard drive, lots
of memory, and of course, bridge card. Now it is to my understanding,
that the bridge card makes the Amiga completely compatible with IBM pc.
(Please correct me if I am mistaken). What about graphics? Will the
Amiga graphics work with programs written for CGA, VGA, EGA, ECGA,
Hercules, etc, etc, etc.? This is a point of curiosity on my part, since
there are many programs for IBM that use graphics, I would imagine that
the Amiga will duplicate it, but I would appreciate an answer from some
one who has used the bridge card on the Amiga.
One last question, which really belongs in comp.sys.Amiga, I have
heard rumors of an Amiga 2500, is there any base to this?

The Needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one.
Unless of course, you are the one. In which case it's every person for
themself.
