[net.cooks] split pea and barley soup

I just tried this recipe out and my SO loved it so
I thought I would share it with the net.

1/2 Cup Lentils
1/4 Cup Chopped Onion
1/4 Cup Chopped Green Pepper
3/4 Cup Split Peas
1/4 Cup Soy Grits
3/4 Cup Pearl Barley
4 Cups Stock
2 Tbls. Parsley Flakes
Small Bunch of Chopped Fresh Parsley
1 Tsp. Dill
1/4 to 1/2 Cup Soy Sauce (optional)

Soak split peas for 4 hours.  Drain. Combine all ingredients
in crock pot.  Cook on low for 10 hours.

This makes a very thick hearty soup.  Enjoy.
