Is anyone aware of a site out there who has any color or
black & white pictures available for FTP? I am not looking
for pictures of anything in particular, just a selection
of different types of images to test an image compression
program I am working on. I would prefer scanned pictures of
real-life objects such as people, houses, cars, satelite
photographs...etc. Computer generated pictures (like
output from raytracers) would be ok too, but only if the
images are fairly complicated.
Raw data would be fine (ie: a file of pixels with greyscale
or color values for each pixel), if the data is compressed
or in some format like sun rasterfiles I would need some
kind of program to reduce it to raw data.
Please reply via mail if possible...I don't get to read the
newsgroup too often anymore.
