What does it mean to pass the dutchy on the left hand side?

In the song "Pass the Dutchy", the Musical Youth are referring to the
Jamaican slang for a stewing pot. In the original version, the lyrics were
Kutchy, which is the Jamaican slang for marijuana. Since the Musical Youth
members range in age from 11 to 16, they thought they would set a bad
example by using the original lyrics.
