[comp.graphics] Director Position Available

RJM@PSUVM.BITNET (Ray Masters) (12/20/88)

                 Director, Computer Graphics Center

The College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning at the University
of Cincinnati is seeking a director for its Computer Graphics Center.
The position reports directly to the Dean of the College. Day-to-day
responsibilities include (1) the administration of the Center, (2)
liaison with computer related committees and groups, (3) faculty
training, and (4) curriculum support. The longer term responsibility is
to plan and guide the continued development of the Computer Graphics
Center into a major teaching and research facility serving the entire
University. Major facets remaining to accomplish this goal include (1)
connecting the Center into the University's computing network, (2)
increasing utilization by faculty in other colleges and departments, (3)
broadening the financial support of the Center through sponsored
projects, and (4) developing a consortium of users with ties to business
and industry in the community.

The successful candidate should have a college degree, but it need not
be in a computer graphics related discipline. Background and experience
in the field of computer graphics, whether hardware or software
oriented, will obviously be a strong plus; however, equal weight will
given to the administrative skills necessary to achieve the long term
objective stated above.

Letters of application and resumes should be sent be March 15, 1989 to:
