Director, Computer Graphics Center The College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a director for its Computer Graphics Center. The position reports directly to the Dean of the College. Day-to-day responsibilities include (1) the administration of the Center, (2) liaison with computer related committees and groups, (3) faculty training, and (4) curriculum support. The longer term responsibility is to plan and guide the continued development of the Computer Graphics Center into a major teaching and research facility serving the entire University. Major facets remaining to accomplish this goal include (1) connecting the Center into the University's computing network, (2) increasing utilization by faculty in other colleges and departments, (3) broadening the financial support of the Center through sponsored projects, and (4) developing a consortium of users with ties to business and industry in the community. The successful candidate should have a college degree, but it need not be in a computer graphics related discipline. Background and experience in the field of computer graphics, whether hardware or software oriented, will obviously be a strong plus; however, equal weight will given to the administrative skills necessary to achieve the long term objective stated above.
