[comp.graphics] Graphics books

daver@sci.UUCP (Dave Rickel) (01/11/89)

These are a few years old, and probably out of date, but back in the dark ages
when i took computer graphics we were using FUNDAMENTALS OF INTERACTIVE
COMPUTER GRAPHICS, by Foley and Van Dam, and PRINCIPLES OF INTERACTIVE COMPUTER
GRAPHICS, by Newman and Sproull. The Foley and Van Dam book had prettier
pictures.

I was talking with someone a couple of years ago; he told me that cubic splines
were now passe. Could someone tell me the currently preferred spline
technique? Conic sections?
