[comp.graphics] Wanted - Conversion from Mac PICT graphics file to anything.

I have to write a program that converts Macintosh version 2 pictures
to another format. Does anyone have code that I can use for a start?
       
I'm not a Mac user, but from the reading I have done, I am assuming that
by writing this filter, I will be able to transfer most of the Mac's
graphical data bases to another machine.  EPS is not an option.
Is this a correct assumption? 

Are there any Mac products which might do some data conversions.
  I read something about a GLUE program.
