Apologies if this is recurring - I've just started reading this group. I have recently aquired a Mac II with a color display, and have discovered (read become addicted to) GIF images. I am looking for ftp archives to aquire more from. I have found a small amount at sumex-aim.stanford and have been referred to hubcap.clemson, but cannot ftp there. Can anyone please point me to other archives? Compuserve has a great selection, but $12/hour @ 1200 baud is hard to take all the time (though if anyone had a REALLY great image to recommend, I would download it). Thanks for any responses - Jim Campbell jgc@drizzle.cs.uoregon.edu ..!mips!mist!drizzle!jgc

There is a Unix program called xbin which will take these files and convert them into regular .GIF files. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon _____________________________________________________________________________ |Jon Granrose |ARPA: odin@ucscb.UCSC.EDU | CIS: 74036,3241 | // Only | |Cowell College, UCSC |UUCP: ...!ucbvax!ucscc!ucscb!odin |\X/ Amiga!| |Santa Cruz, CA 95064 | "A mind is a terrible thing." - Doonesbury | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
