I am trying to write a Giff decoder, and I have a few questions about the unpacking part of the process. Is there anyone with experience so I can ask these questions? I don't want to waste bandwidth, so E-mail is fine (I've only used it on the net a few times). My questions are: a simple explaination of the decoding algorithm. (if not simple, straight forward). does the encoding scheme start over at the minimum value in each block, or do they keep increasing? I have others, but it has been a few days since I worked on this and I don't remember them all. Thanks, Jim O'Connor
