Alpha test version 0.86 of the Fuzzy Pixmap Package (FBM) is now available. This version can now write Amiga IFF Interleaved Bitmaps (ILBM) as well as read them. That means that the following image formats are now readable and writable: Sun rasterfiles GIF images IFF Amiga interleaved bitmaps (ILBM) PBM bitmaps (ala Jef Poskanzer) Face files (CMU bitmap format) FBM format (used within the FBM package) With additional read support for PCX (PC Paintbrush) Raw images (like Digi-view RGB output files) And write support for Postscript (8bit grayscale and 1bit bitmaps) Diablo graphics (8bit greyscale) Availability by anonymous FTP or Email Host: nl.cs.cmu.edu (128.2.222.56) User: anonymous Password: name@site Directory: /usr/mlm/ftp/ Filename: fbm08.tar.Z Transfer: 'image' Note: you must 'cd' to /usr/mlm/ftp directly, you cannot access either /usr, or /usr/mlm alone. According to the docs it's used by Electronic Arts products on other computers as well.
