I need to gather a complete list of graphics and image file formats
for a company project. We will be capturing information using a frame
grabber then encoding the image using the selected file format. The file
format must accommodate color, world coordinate system info, and other
parameters. Once captured and stored, these images will be exchanged between
systems in a heterogeneous environment and used by a Geoscientist to pick
features of interest.
The information needed, includes:
file formats (PIC,PCX, etc...)
frame grabber vendors for PCs and UNIX platforms
file conversion programs (CGM to PIC, etc...)
