It must've been asked before, so I'll be brief. :-) How do I get my mitts on lots of GIFs? I have a meager collection of maybe 700K. There must be more megs of GIFs out there than cycles in a second on a VAX.. :-) Can anyone point me to free sources? (IE, who wants to pay Compu$erve fo someone else's art?) I'm on a UNIX; is FTP only for BITNETters, or is it UNIX? How would I use it to swipe freebies? What about UUCP? The list below was not generated by me but will answer your question. I have
found hubcap to be the best source by far as they have an excellent supply of
256 color GIFs. Grape is a close second. See the man page for help with ftp.
To do anonymous ftp, log in as user 'anonymous' with any password. Most systems
request you use you mail address as a password.
