[comp.graphics] True Imaging bites the dust

sparks@corpane.UUCP (John Sparks) (05/02/89)

I received a letter in the mail today from True Imaging, the graphic magazine
that was dedicated to image processing.

-----
April 7, 1989

Dear Subscriber,

Effective immediately, True Imaging, the magazine dedicated to advanced
microcomputer graphics and video applications, will merge with its companion
magazines, CADENCE and MicroCAD News, to provide more meaningful and effective
industry coverage.

.
.
.
[stuff about how they noticed that their readers are more interested in ]
[ CAD than TARGA deleted. JRS ]

Therefore we are offering to you the option of a year's subscription to
both MicroCAD News and CADENCE with increased imaging coverage, at no extra
charge, or if you prefer, a full refund.

[ explanation that you will get a few free issues then have to make up your
mind, deleted JRS]

Thank you for your continued support

Sincerely,

Dave Baceski

Well, I hate to see it go. Just when they started supporting Amiga too. :-)

At least they offer 2 subscriptions in return, or all of your money back.
That at least is quite commendable.

Just thought some of you would be interested.

As far as we know, our computer has never had an undetected error.

True Imaging is going bye-bye? First Turbo Technix and now this. For
people who use Borland's software in conjunction with the Targa/Vista
line of products this has been a bleak year.

I wonder if this has something to do with the TrueVision User's BBS
disappearing. Hmmmmmm......
