[comp.graphics] Need a Ray/Torus Intersection Algorithm

I am looking for some code or an algorithm to implement a fast
ray/torus intersection test routine for my ray-tracer. Also,
formulas for computing the surface normal at the point of intersection
would be needed.

I attempted to derive it myself, but no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
