I recently requested a program to display directed graphs. I got 3 references, and a ton of requests for copies, but no actual program. Here are the references, if anyone else has more luck than I did, please send ME a copy. From: FRGILES%ACADIA.BITNET@CORNELLC.cit.cornell.edu (Rick Giles - Acadia University) "DAG - A Program that Draws Directed Graphs", E. R. Gansner, S. C. North and K. P. Vo, Software - Practice and Experience, 18, 1047-1062, 1988. From: ucbvax!pasteur.berkeley.edu!ames!coherent.com!dbouvier@ucscc.UCSC.EDU (Dave Bouvier) %A Lawrence Rowe, Michael Davis*, Eli Messinger, Carl Meyer**, Charles Spirakis***, and Allen Tuan %T A Browser for Directed Graphs %J Software: Practice & Experience %D January 1987 %P 61-76 %A Gabriel Robins %T The ISI Grapher: A Portable Tool for Displaying Graphs Pictorially %J ISI Reprint Series - ISI/RS-87-196 %D September 1987 I have only been able to get the reference by Rowe, et.al. The results look good, and the program runs on a Sun. Maybe one of the authors can respond by posting the program. The work was originally done at UCB, and the *'ed authors have moved on to: * SRI ** Sun *** Tandem Maybe someone can ping them directly (Sun's naming convention is first initial, last name, e.g. cmeyer@sun.com). sorry for taking so long, Robert skinner@saturn.ucsc.edu

It seems funny that I didn't receive this until after I had given up.... From aoki@postgres.Berkeley.EDU Sun May 7 03:38:49 1989 Organization: Postgres Research Group, UC Berkeley An (old) version of GRAB is available by anonymous ftp from postgres.berkeley.edu. I don't know if there is a more recent one. You may want to contact Larry Rowe (larry@postgres.berkeley.edu) or Eli Messinger (ebm@ibm.com) for more details. -- Paul M.
