[comp.graphics] Driving a Calcomp plotter from VM

We are investigating driving a Calcomp plotter from VM. Any experience in
this area would be welcome.
 
    --- How do you support it? Does everyone write their own tape, or
        is it queued through some server machine?
    --- How do you account, and chargeback, for it?
    --- What applications do you provide to your users?
