[comp.graphics] Digitized RGB Monitor Test Patterns

annala@neuro.usc.edu (A J Annala) (05/26/89)

Could someone make available by anonymous ftp digitized test patterns for
use in testing, adjustment, and alignment of video monitors. Ideally, a
compressed tar file (testpatterns.tar.Z) containing some high resolution
(4096 x 3072) and low resolution (640x480) renditions of EIA, IRE, IEEE,
SMPTE, Macbeth ColorChecker, and PORTA-PATTERN black and white and color
charts would be very helpful for those of us without adequate facilities
set up for generating these patterns. High resolution patterns could be
scaled to fit any monitor resolution and aspect ratio by using the BRLCAD
bwscale (8 bit gray scale) and pixscale (24 bit color) routines.

Thanks, AJ Annala

p.s. I know it may not be terribly useful, but I'd also like to get a
copy of the old CBS indian head test pattern.
