Along with Andrew Glassner, I've been the editor of an informal journal called "The Ray Tracing News" for a few years now. Various contributors have published interesting ideas and techniques useful in ray tracing. I have also reprinted various worthwhile cullings from USENET. Anyway, I've decided to archive these and make them available via anonymous ftp. The two sites are: freedom.tn.cornell.edu (128.84.247.85) in pub/RTNews cs.uoregon.edu (128.223.4.13) in pub/RTNews I'm in a uucp backwater, so can't afford to send these to anyone without ftp access. However, if there are requests, I could post these archives to the net over some time period (there are 7 archives, about 470K uncompressed bytes total). There's some excellent material which has not been published elsewhere in these back issues, so if you're interested in advanced ray tracing techniques you should check out these archives.
