Friends, By popular demand, I'm posting the following new Borland bgi drivers, vga256.arc and herc.arc -- the last 2 parts of the 5-part bgitoolkit which Borland posted on Compuserve last week. The source code for these two drivers was unfortunately not included, so those wishing to write their own drivers will need to consult debug.c in bgidrv.arc. Unfortunately, that also requires considerable guesswork, since the documentation is not complete, and calls to Borland get you nothing but an admission that "We don't support the bgi toolkit". [Couldn't they at least apologize ?] So far I've not been able to make DEBDEMO to run in EGAMONO. I have lots of unanswered questions. For example, 1. How come the "Device Information Table" (DIT) which is the input to INIT is not declared anywhere? 2. The bgidrv.doc says that in INIT we have ES:bx --> DIT, which provides the backgnd color and an init flag, but debug.c says that in init() we have ES:bx --> STATUS. Which is it ? and so on.............. Again, please let me know your experience with these tools. ==Bob== (301)286-4276
