Would anyone out there be interested in writing a CGM driver for fig2dev, the general Fig code translation program in TransFig. Rel 4a? The driver is very simple, consisting of routines to draw lines, arcs, text, etc. It should be easy to adapt the PostScript driver code for splines and such. There is also a reference manual for Fig code, which explains how is it interpreted. This should be a very small project for anyone who knows CGM. It would also be a good project for someone learning CGM (I think only a small subset of CGM should be needed). Of course, I could be wrong, since I don't know CGM at all. Translations to other graphics standards would also be welcome. Fig is a simple graphics editor in the style of MacDraw. It is one of the most widely available free graphics tools for Unix. I'll be waiting to hear from you, Micah Beck beck@cs.cornell.edu Cornell CS Dept.
