I will be scanning in several hundred images into a computer. I have a reference diagram that divides the screen up into 14 parts. The problem is to determine how much of our scanned image overlaps each of the 14 regions of the reference diagram. I would like the algorithm I use to adjust for the fact that each image to be scanned might not be placed in the exact same position on the scanner. If you have any idea how to solve this problem please send mail. I will post to the net if there is demand. If there is commercially available software that will help I will try to get a hold of it.
