Well, the batman.arc file was real godd...now if only I could read it. Could someone please post info on the .arc compression format, and could someone post the batman gif without the arc? I have an Apple IIGS running SHRConvert 2.1 (by Jason Harper), and it does a wonderful job with GIFs (and just about any other format you can name, provided it's not IBM :), but I can't unarc the file to get to it. PLEASE don't arc/zip/sq '.gif' files! They are already compressed and the resultant file only gets bigger. Not too bad in the case of batman ( couple of hundred bytes bigger ), but it can get nasty for big files. -- Ed Clarke acheron!clarke
