Hello SIGGRAPH '89 Attendees: I just checked in with Jim Thomas, Vice-Chair for Operations, and Chair Elect for SIGGRAPH, and Andy Goodrich, Vice-Chair for Operations Elect. I have also communicated to the Co-Chairs for SIGGRAPH '89, Branko Gerovac and Chris Herot, the concerns that have been communicated on the nets. The conference will not be using the magnetic cards this year at SIGGRAPH '89, but it is also prudent of me to inform you that this does not exclude the possibility in the future. We are all very much concerned about each attendee enjoying the conference, and we are equally concerned about giving each attendee a fair shake for their money. It should be clear for anyone else reading this message that this is a Conference Planning Committee issue, and I am attempting to open rational avenues for communicating concerns. Andy Goodrich has informed me that he would be happy to hear your concerns, but I don't want Andy to take all the heat, so I would be happy to hear from you as well.
