I have a program called "suntops" which converts Sun rasters to PostScript. It is apparently in the public domain; however, I don't remember where I got it from, and there seems to be no author's address anywhere in the source-code. I am working on a public-domain cellular automaton program. One of the options of the program is to dump the array in Sun raster format. Therefore, I would like to include a small, simple, public domain Sun raster -> PS conversion program along with the Cellsim program. Therefore, I would like to contact the author of suntops, if I can find out who that is, to get approval to include suntops with Cellsim. So does anyone know who wrote suntops? Alternatively, does anyone know of a very simple and small Sun raster -> PS converter that is public? I'd like to include it with Cellsim both as a stand-alone program, and also maybe incorporate the code into Cellsim so that Cellsim can dump its images in PostScript format. Cellsim is not a commercial product, no one is making money off of it (at least they better not be!) Appropriate credit will be given to the author of whatever code I use. Thanks very much for any help; please reply via e-mail if possible. By the way, if you are interested in the Cellsim cellular automata simulator, send a message to Chris Langton (cgl@lanl.gov), and he will tell you how to get it and will put you on his mailing-list to notify you of updates. Note that Cellsim is SunView based, so it will only run on Suns, although it is likely that at some point in the future, other versions will be produced (such as an X version). -- Dave Hiebeler hiebeler@cardinal.lanl.gov Center for Nonlinear Studies hiebeler@cs.rpi.edu MS B258 "xue zai shao" ("snow is burning") Los Alamos National Laboratory / Los Alamos, NM 87545
