Does anyone have a PD X11 -> postscript convertor? Ideally, it would allow a region of the screen to be specified, and make a snapshot in a Postscript file. Also, does anyone know of a way to use Postscript and/or X11 fonts in a TeX document? Thanks, Bo Curry curry@hplabs.hp.com

X11 *is* device-dependent and pixel-oriented, and PostScript *is* device-independent and not pixel-oriented. So, you can quite simple take a bitmap snapshot and make it a valid PostScript program with 'image' calls. But a inverted digitalization from an X11 bitmap to PostScript lines and arc and ... is *very* difficult and a current research topic for some people in these days. -- -- ###### Jos Vos ###### Internet jos@idca.tds.philips.nl ###### -- ###### ###### UUCP ...!mcvax!philapd!jos ######
