I am currently working on the Bell Canada ALEX project here at the U of W. As you may know, the ALEX terminals use the NAPLPS standard for their graphical displays. I am having problems creating animated sequences, however. [My software is _Createx-C_ from TV-Ontario] Nothing seems to work: macros are too slow, and blinks cannot be utilized, because I have an overlapping sequence of images. There MUST be some way to do it. I would appreciate any information on the subject. ------------------ Post news, or E-Mail to: alcal@watdcsu OR w0enl365@watdcs Telephone #: (519)-885-1211, ext. 3673 OR 6832 ------------------ jd. -- Chris Hudel ALCAL (Bell/Alex) Project

[I posted this message last week, on comp.protocols.misc AS WELL AS on this part of the net: however, I don't know what happened to it here-- maybe it got fried ...] I am currently working on a project between the U. of Waterloo, and Bell Canada. The "ALEX" Videotex Database uses NAPLPS graphics, and I am in need of some help in creating animation with this standard. I have tried macros, but they proved to be much too slow; blinks do not work, because the objects to be animated overlap (eg: a book opening up). If there is anyone out there who knows how to do these things in NAPLPS, I would appreciate the help. Thanx in advance. ------------------------------- Jan A.
