For all of you who have 'never seen the effects of interlace' and
think that it is 'just an excuse for the video industry to try to get us to
buy more expensive hardware to get rid of it'

I hope you watched the stuff from the voyager flyby of neptune last night.
When the image was constantly flickering, and occasionaly seemed like it
couldn't figure out if it was sort of the upper or lower of two overlaid'
images... that was an example of interlace effects... fun huh?

(nifty pictures though. can you imagine what they could be getting if that was
todays technology up there, and not 1975 antiques?)
