Re: MTV First of all, what the !@#$ is 'hither' in the nff file format? Second, I'm viewing images on a VGA supplied PC, with 1:1 aspect ratio at 320 X 200 X 256. But the spheres keep coming out looking like eggs. Has anybody worked with mtv long enough to figure out what has to be done to get round balls? Sure, I can change the resolution of the image, but I don't see why it's necessary...maybe I'm overlooking some fundamental aspect... I'm setting resolution to 320 X 200 in the nff file, and outputting to Sun Rasterfile format (no size change), then viewing with a PC rasterfile viewer (again, no size change)... this gives flat eggs. If I assume that the program works with square displays, (200 X 200), I get tall eggs. I can get a sphere with about 260 X 200, but I don't understand why, and then I get 'white space' because the image doesn't fill the screen, which is annoying. If somebody could enlighten me, I would be forever grateful... /*+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ + I only speak for myself, and MY brain has been turned to MUSH! + + Mike Macgirvin + + - Systems Administrator Stanford Relativity Gyroscope Experiment (GP-B) + + - Internet: mike@relgyro.stanford.edu (36.64.0.50) + + - Bitnet: mike%relgyro.stanford.edu@stanford + + - Uucp: uunet!relgyro.stanford.edu!mike + + "'Scuse me, while I kiss the sky" - Robert James Marshall (Jimi) Hendrix + +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++*/
