Call for participation in the EUROGRAPHICS WORKING GROUP on RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN IMAGE SYNTHESIS AND ANALYSIS Scope and Purpose ================= Overlaps between computer graphics, image processing and analysis, computer vision are numerous. As an example, a computer vision system needs to take into account illumination models, projections and transformations, and use knowledge from a graphics object modeler. Synthetic image generation might use techniques and theories typical of image processing, such as anti-aliasing, sampling, filtering, stochastic modeling. There are application areas where images coming in digital format from an external media are mixed and treated together with synthetised scenes. This Working Group should try to develop a good overview of these overlapping areas, should explore their interrelations and explore how important this common approach might become. _____________________________________________________________________________ To Th.
