[comp.graphics] Virtual Reality -- Who's Doing It?

yamauchi@cs.rochester.edu (Brian Yamauchi) (10/04/89)

I'm interested in any references to papers, articles, tech reports,
etc. on virtual reality (interactive 3D environments).

I know that NASA Ames has been working in this area for a while, and
I've heard that VPL (the DataGlove people) and UNC Chapel Hill are
also doing related research.

Does anyone have any information on the current state of any of these
projects? Is anyone else conducting research or developing systems in
this area?

				Thanks in advance,

				Brian

Check out the article in the current issue of _Whole_Earth_Review_ on
Virtual Reality. Very interesting, and might give you some new leads.
