Hello Everybody, Over the last couple of weeks i've been doing some ray tracing using the beta release of RayShade and coming up with some interesting pictures. So far they look pretty good but i have yet to see them in color. RayShade generates a Utah Raster RLE file which I then convert into a "Color Sun Raster" using the 'fbcat' program from Fuzzy. Everytime i try to bring it up on on a sun using 'xbgsun','xsetroot', or 'screenload' it says that it is either and invalid file color format or invalid color depth. I've tried quantinizing it down to 16 colors but I still get errors. Are there any other programs out there that can display pics on a color sun? or even better can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong. I'd really like to see these things in color sometime before the end of the world. Thanx in advance -Stephen P. Lesniewski =) spl@topaz.rutgers.edu
