We are thinking about buying a film recorder. Our facility has a number
of Mac's, PC's, and Sun and DEC workstations. Ideally we would like to
be able to access the recorder from any of these systems (we're
exploring and Appletalk<->Ethernet gateway to facilitate this). It
seems to me that the most portable way to do this would be to have the
recorder be a postscript (color) device that appears as a printer on one
side of the gateway or another. Does anyone out there have any
comments on this type of setup? Please respond by e-mail, and I'll
summarize to the net.
