FRACTINT 10.0 is now available for anonymous FTP from milton.u.washington.edu (IP address = 128.95.136.1) in the /public/richg directory. The filenames are: fraint10.exe Binaries in LHARC'd form (self-extracting) frasrc10.exe Sources in LHARC'd form (self-extracting) fraint10.uue UUencoded fraint10.exe frasrc10.uue UUencoded frasrc10.exe These files (non-UUencoded ones, that is) were obtained from CompuServe. To converse with the FRACTINT authors via their normal forum, login to CompuServe and type "GO PICS" at any prompt. Please post these files (as appropriate) wherever they are missing and ought to be. Examples: SIMTEL20, comp.binaries, grape.clarkson.edu, local BBSes, etc. A companion posting, "FRACTINT 10.0 Description (LONG)", will describe the features (new and old) of FRACTINT (taken from FRACTINT.DOC). This program (around version 6.0) was mentioned by Jerry Pournelle in the September 1989 BYTE magazine. It has come a long way since then! As always, please submit comments to the FRACTINT authors if there's anything you feel should be changed. Remember that people on CompuServe can be addressed via a gateway as shown in my signature. --Richard Finegold ARPA: richg@blake.acs.washington.edu UUCP: [uunet!]uw-beaver!blake!richg CIS: 76701,153 (76701.153@compuserve.com) P.S. This is my first experience at posting about a program release, as well as milton's first experience at being an anonymous FTP site. Time will tell... <grin>
