I have a need to do some solid modeling on a SparcStationIGX. I have been looking at HOOPS, SunPhigs, DI3000. I don't like DI3000 and prefer the simplicity of HOOPS to SunPhigs. Does anyone have any particular opinions on 3d packages. Also, it may become necessary for us to do some volume visualization (direct & ray traced) or other more sophisticated work - any suggestions on packages that can help (in addition to the custom work I assume we will have to do).
