It would be grateful if anyone could offer me the information about 
following aspects:

   1) Any new development on character identification and ancient 
      calligraphy recognization by computers
   2) The research status and organizations which are researching 
      in above areas in U.K. and other countries
   3) Any periodicals about those areas
   3) Any periodicals about those areas
   4) Available peripherals and softwares on graphic workstations
      may be used in above research
